This is a promotional poster for Shanghai inspired by the Art Deco movement.
I chose the architecture 'The Paramount' as the main imagery, also added moonlight in the background to create the atmosphere of nights in Shanghai.
The poster presents a simple and retro elegance, which can present the unique historical style of Shanghai to tourists.
I was limited to a maximum of 2 spot colours in the final poster design.
I think for tourists, the most astonishing charm of Shanghai as a modern city is its night scenery and activities. So I chose a colour that can express the atmosphere of the night.
